Stitchville Gilet

This gilet is made of exquisite hand-spun wool & silk blend from Stitchville’s favourite spinner extraordinaire, Emma Moss at Loch Sunart.

YARN

• 540g of silver Gotland & silk noil yarn and
• 270g of dark Soay & silk noil yarn.
Both are hand-spun and can be ordered directly from Loch Sunart. Alernatively, you can use other yarn which gives you the required gauge.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS

• 100 cm long circular needle size 5mm & 4.5mm (if you can work the Magic Loop technique or 40cm long
circular needle size 4.5mm if you’d raher not)
• Spare 100cm long 5mm needle or a lentgh of conrasting yarn
• Yarn cutter or scissors
• Tapestry needle
• Measuring tape

GAUGE

12 sts & 24 Rnds = 10cm/4” over garter st. using 5mm needles

PATTERN

Garter st. for circular needles:
Rnd 1: K.
Rnd 2: P.
Rep. these 2 rnds.
Garter st. for sraight needles:
All rnds: K.

SIZE

One. A key is provided to allow for adjusing the size.
